The Academic Technology SHAREcase is a professional development event for the UMN Academic Technology (AT) and Instructional Design (ID) staff where the University Academic Technology community can share challenges and--working together--find solutions.

This in-person event with a hybrid option spans one full day and one half-day. Participants have multiple opportunities to build connections and learn ways to leverage academic technology in creative, innovative, and engaging ways.

The conference theme is "The Accessibility Spectrum: Expanding Access for Learner Success"

The theme tracks:

  1. Access and Title II
    • In what ways has Title II impacted digital accessibility at the university? What affordances and constraints have emerged from Title II?
    • What processes and/or practical solutions are you engaging with to meet Title II regulations? What challenges remain?
  2. Access to community engagement
    1. How are we forging strong communities of lifelong learners in our University system?
    2. How are we engaging and supporting constrained community members?
    3. How can we improve our University community’s digital literacy as it relates to digital accessibility?
  3. Access through alternative credentials
    1. How are we expanding access to learning opportunities for all learners through alternative credentials?
  4. Access with emerging technologies
    1. How are we using emerging technologies to support accessibility and learner success?
    2. What are the new opportunities and models that can enhance learner success?
